America’s Auto Auction Expands Albany Location to Create a Larger Sale for Southwest Georgia Dealers

Carmel, IN – Monday, February 3, 2026 – America’s Auto Auction announced the acquisition of Albany Auto Auction, Inc., strengthening its presence in Southwest Georgia and creating a unified auction experience for dealers. Following the acquisition, operations will be consolidated under America’s Auto Auction Albany, forming a larger, centralized auction operation. The combined footprint will increase vehicle volume and expand buyer participation both in-lane and online.

Located on U.S. 19, Albany Auto Auction, Inc. has built a reputation for service, efficiency, and consistency. Since acquiring the auction in May 2022, owners Chip and Brandy Rutherford have enhanced the auction experience by prioritizing friendly service, strong execution, and thoughtful innovation.

“Having been born and raised in the used car industry, I’ve had the opportunity to participate in nearly every facet of the business,” states Chip Rutherford, owner of Albany Auto Auction, Inc. “Owning and operating an independent auto auction has been one of the most rewarding and fulfilling experiences of my career.

“I am excited about the opportunities created by America’s Auto Auction Albany and Albany Auto Auction, Inc. joining forces and the positive impact I believe it will have on dealers across South Georgia. By bringing two established operations together into a single weekly auction at one centralized location, we can offer an expanded selection of new-car trades, dealer consignments, and commercial fleet and lease vehicles.

“This merger strengthens the marketplace for both buyers and sellers by improving efficiency and selection while delivering long-term value to dealers and industry partners throughout the Southeast. I encourage all dealers to support America’s Group and take full advantage of the enhanced opportunities at America’s Auto Auction Albany.”

The existing Albany location will serve as the primary auction site, with the additional property supporting vehicle storage and operational efficiency to accommodate future growth. Weekly sales will continue every Thursday at 11:00 a.m. CT.

“Albany Auto Auction, Inc. has built a strong reputation across dealers and commercial accounts,” said Chuck Tapp, CEO of America’s Auto Auction. “By bringing these operations together into one Albany auction, we’re creating greater scale and opportunity while preserving the service, relationships, and the execution customers expect.”

This acquisition reflects America’s Auto Auction’s continued commitment to strategic growth that strengthens local markets while preserving the relationships and service standards dealers rely on.
